This project marks my first published portfolio in2022, a milestone in my journey as a designer and developer. The goal was tocreate a website that felt straightforward yet playful, reflecting my ambitionto grow in the field while remaining relatable to my audience. The artdirection was intentionally modest, avoiding boastfulness, and instead focusingon authenticity and approachability.
The primary challenge was overcoming the initialhurdle of starting. Questions like“What colors should I use?”,“Howdo I introduce myself?”, and“Who is my target audience?”wereat the forefront. Despite the uncertainty, I decided to dive in. I chose asimple design with hints of playfulness, ensuring the website wasn’t overlypretentious. The focus was on letting users get to know me and understand my capabilities.
To refine the content, I sought feedback fromfamily and friends. My sister emphasized the importance of making the contentpromising and avoiding generic language. This insight led me to highlight themost memorable aspects of my work, ensuring the website left a lastingimpression.
The process took less than a week, but starting was thehardest part. I reminded myself of my “why” and pushed through. I researchedWebflow interactions extensively and consulted senior developers to learn bestpractices. The result was a clean, functional portfolio that showcased myskills while remaining true to my personality.
